Joaquim is a folding screen designed for homes and other interiors. The piece works in three ways, as a room divider, a bookshelf and a mobile vertical garden. Abrete y Cierrate

Abrete y Cierrate is a storage cabinet with sliding doors. The doors are formed by a weave of recycled leather strips joined with metal rivets. Custom magnetic fasteners are set into the wood, so each door closes softly along two metal rails. The weave changes with the viewing angle and with the movement of the doors, creating shifting light and shadow. The cabinet measures 1200 by 600 by 800 millimeters.

The design is an exploration of solid wood possibilities and also is a walk on the edge of Art and Design, Beauty and Function.
